I've always been inspired by photographs. It would take only one photo to spark my desire to travel to faraway places. I remember seeing a picture of the Tiger’s Nest in Bhutan years ago and saying to myself, “I’m going there one day.” Now, I’m thrilled to have plans to visit next April. Photos have the incredible power to transport us into another reality, a fantasy, or even a new dimension, especially when created with abstract creativity.
My journey with photography began when I was 18, while attending school in Madison, Wisconsin, for Commercial Art. Although I didn’t pursue a career in the field, I never lost my passion for taking photos and viewing the world through a camera lens. Over the years, photography has remained a constant source of joy and inspiration in my life.
Now that I’m retired, I finally have the time to dedicate myself to honing my skills and sharing my love of photography. My hope is to inspire others, just as I’ve been inspired, to broaden their perspectives. Whether it’s through street photography that captures the essence of everyday life, portraits that foster an understanding of diverse cultures, or travel photos that ignite a desire to explore exotic and unusual destinations, I aim to create images that resonate and connect with people on a deeper level or at least to take pause to admire the beauty and intrigue of this amazing world.
